What is my case worth?
Every case is unique and there is no magic formula that can be used to calculate how an event has affected you and your family. However, the Berelc Law Firm has handled hundreds of different types of cases and is constantly monitoring Georgia verdicts and settlements. We will provide you with the most up to date information, so that you can make an informed decision when it comes to evaluating the value of your case.
-
Can I settle my case on my own?
While some cases appear straight forward, the consequences of settling a case without legal advice could produce a negative result in a way you never expected. Besides unintended consequences, an experienced attorney almost always brings extra value to your case. It is usually a mistake to settle a case without consulting an attorney first.
-
What are your attorney fees and how are they paid?
All car accident cases, workers’ compensation cases, and other personal injury cases are taken on a contingency fee. This means that there is no charge for the client until a case is successfully concluded.
Most family law cases and criminal cases are either taken on a flat fee or a retainer fee. A retainer fee is an advance payment that I bill against as work is performed on your case.
-
Will I be interacting directly with an attorney or someone else in the office?
At the Berelc Law Firm, you meet with an attorney to review your case. Attorneys appear at depositions, hearings, and trials on your behalf, so it makes sense to us that the attorney should be intimately familiar with you and the facts of your case. We take pride in the “one on one” relationship between the attorney and client.
