Ways To Avoid Texting and Driving

Although it seems fairly simple to not pick up your phone when behind the wheel, many people struggle with the same thing daily. Here are a few tips that could help you avoid texting while driving:
- Silent mode. Putting your phone on silent is a great way to help prevent using it while you are driving. If this isn't enough, you could also try turning it off until you reach your destination safely.
- Out of reach. "Out of sight, out of mind" might be something to consider when trying to break this habit. Try putting your phone in your bag and placing it in the back seat or trunk. That way you are not able to grab it at all during your drive.
- Ask for help. If you're driving with someone in the car, give them your phone and ask them to watch your phone. That way, if someone calls or texts you while driving, they are able to respond for you.
